PROSPECTS FOR SWEDEN'S PARTICIPATION IN KHERSON REGION RESTORATION PROJECTS

During a meeting between Volodymyr Makukha, Chairman of the Board of the Baltic-Black Sea Economic Forum, and Martina Kvik, Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of Sweden in Ukraine, discussed possible options for Sweden's participation in Kherson region restoration projects after the end of hostilities and the onset of sustainable peace.
In addition to assistance in restoring Zmiivka village, which was founded by Swedish settlers in the 18th century, the possibility of Sweden's participation in the construction of enterprises within industrial parks initiated to create communities in Kherson region was separately discussed.
Among a number of cooperation options, the possibility of creating the aforementioned enterprises with the involvement of financial assistance from the Swedish government for the restoration of Kherson region was considered. It would then either be completely transferred to the corporate ownership of Swedish business representatives or with the partial participation of Ukrainian business representatives.
P.S. The detailed projects for the creation of industrial parks on the territory of communities included in Kherson region were submitted for further consideration to the Embassy of Sweden in Ukraine.
