THE IMPORTANCE OF A STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP WITH POLAND

01.06.2026

This was the focus of a working meeting between Volodymyr Makukha, Chairman of the Board of the Baltic-Black Sea Economic Forum (Baltic-Black Sea-Caspian Forum), and Vasyl Bodnar, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Poland, which took place today in Warsaw.

It is worth noting that the high level of diplomats currently serving in the Ukrainian diplomatic mission in Poland, led by the current Ambassador, enables them to respond promptly and professionally to situations that could potentially harm the strategic partnership between Ukraine and Poland.

Special attention was paid to the Conference on Ukraine's Reconstruction, which will take place on June 25-26 this year, and whose success is of paramount importance for Ukraine.

This conference is expected to bring together heads of state and government, international financial organizations, businesses, local authorities, and civil society from around 100 countries. Thanks to the active and effective organizational work of diplomats from the Embassy and Consulate General of Ukraine in Gdansk, the Conference is preparing to sign a sister city agreement between the Ukrainian city of Kherson and the Polish city of Gdynia.

The partnership between Kherson and Gdynia has been actively developing at the enterprise, organizational, and institutional level since 2018, with the active communication support of the Baltic-Black Sea Economic Forum.
