During the final part of the 7th Baltic-Black Sea Economic Forum, a ceremonial signing of a protocol of intent on cooperation between the Lithuanian city of Visaginas and the Ukrainian city of Hola Prystan took place.
In the presence of the Counselor-Minister of the Embassy of Lithuania in Ukraine Jurgita Jankuniene, with the participation of the Mayor of the Lithuanian city of Visaginas Erlandas Galaguz, and two vice-mayors Vitalius Besakirskas and Aleksandra Grigiene, from the Ukrainian side, the mentioned protocol of intent was signed by the Acting Mayor of Hola Prystan Svitlana Linnik.
The signed original protocol, by the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Ukraine, will be transferred to Lithuania for further legal actions regarding the approval for signing by the deputies of the Visaginas City Council and the submission for discussion and approval by the Lithuanian deputies of the partnership agreement itself.
Speaking to the participants of the forum, the mayor of the Lithuanian city of Visaginas Erlandas Galaguz noted the importance of these steps for strengthening the partnership both between the cities of Ukraine and Lithuania, and between the countries, noting that Lithuania and the city of Visaginas will always be next to Ukraine!
During the signing ceremony, it was noted that this partnership is also the result of work begun at the time, with the participation, at that time, of the mayor of Kherson Volodymyr Mykolaienko and the mayor of the city of Hola Prystan Oleksandr Babych, who have been in captivity of the Russian occupiers for more than three years.
